Feeling Overwhelmed....and a little lost...temporarily.
Okay, I have been spending the last few days looking for jobs, potentially, that I can work from home. There are so many scams out there and it is very frustrating for I don't understand how there can be so many people, "companies", that don't have an honest bone in their body. I know that is not true for everything, but I have hit a wall and I am really searching for my "purpose" when it comes to helping provide monetarily to the family.
I want to search and wait for God's will, but I am so not patient when it comes to needing the income. I know that we are far from being the only one going through this trial, and I pray that those of you searching will find your area of expertise.
So I am just blogging my thoughts in hopes that for one, by getting all the overwhelming thoughts from my mind will help me concentrate and two, if anyone has some thoughts or directions, I would love to hear them.
Sitting at the library today spending time searching online. My resume is not complete for I hit a thought block there too. Haven't needed to have an updated resume for, oh about 15 years. Yikes, that is a while.
In my last job I learned a lot of different skills and want to utilize some of those areas. I love to work on the computer. Thought of advertising for companies online, hmmm... Would love to learn more about building web pages.... It would be fun to get my photography business up and going. Unfortunately, the later needs more funds for equipment. So the list goes on and on....
Time to get back to the RESUME!
To be continued.....

Irwin Family Update
Lots of things have been keeping this family busy, as per normal. :0) School is coming to a closure for the school year and summer is fast approaching. We are all loving the sun, including our new large garden. Bob had started with a small one last year and this year he about tripled it. It really has been fun to watch.
Bobby is starting Driver's Ed next week and is really counting those days to drive without one of us. I am not as nervous anymore for he has turned out to be a very careful and cautious driver. We pray that this continues. Bobby also started playing the electric & acoustic guitar in worship last month and is loving it. About the same time he became a leader for the middle school youth group. Lots a positive character building is happening in his life.
Kyleann has really worked hard this year at school and has ended her last year in middle school with straight 'A's. We are so proud of her. She was inducted into the Junior Honor Society in March and just was recognize in a award ceremony on Monday for four of her classes, Math, Earth Science, History and English. She has decided that she is going to take a break from the Seattle's Children Choir with much prayer and thought. She says she is feeling that God is leading her in a different direction and she is ready to follow. It was a little difficult for mom and dad to take, but she is very positive and very in tune with her spiritual and emotional development and we trust God! :0) She reminded, "I still sing all over the house and for worship at church, so don't worry mom. I am working on my gift. " :0)
Taylor is doing very well at Emerson in Snohomish. He really has found a positive place in his class and seems to really enjoy it. He has slowly been migrating back into the General Ed class with hopes to be fully mainstreamed by the end of 6th grade. He has one more year of elementary and then he will be in Middle School. That will be a hard one to swallow. Time just seems to keep flying faster. Taylor really enjoys going to church and participating in Sunday school and Wednesday church. He is counting the days to go to camp this August. Last year was his first time going and he really grew a lot in that week. We are excited to see what God has in store for him this year. :0)

Footprints by Kyleann
I am not sure how many of you know of the author Daddy's Little Cannibal, but she has made an amazing impact on many Twilight fans looking for a good story to read. Unfortunately a drunk driver killed her in a car crash on May 8th. When I heard of the bad news I had this urge to write something for her. Maybe it will give you closure, or maybe it will help you understand why such an awful thing happen to someone so young and loved. But I hope you will remember this piece of writing when you feel mistreated by the ways of life. So here’s for you, Stephanie.
Footprints
Life is a gift,
Something to be appreciated,
Something to be thankful for.
People come in and out of our lives,
Some are there with you up till old age,
Some only there for a while.
But whether they are here to share a lifetime
Or just share a moment,
They were there for a purpose,
A lesson taught in time.
Life is not about who has more time,
But about what difference they make
With the time they are given.

LA Dream Center Mission Trip
Bobby made it home from his mission trip and what a great and educational experience. He returned home Sunday night all fired up with a passion for service that was just absolutely amazing! It was such a blessing to hear about all the things that he was able to experience while blessing others through his passion for Christ! To see kind of compassion in a person eyes, especially a teenager, only continues to build the AWE in me over our Creator!
I sit here trying to come up with the right words to share with others about Bobby's experience, and I can defiantly say, a writer I am not. We have asked Bobby to write his testimony for us to share. So we are hoping that when he does, he will be willing to allow us to share on our blog. Click here to view some of the ministries and area of services that the LA Dream Center is all about.
I am so proud of him, and question quite often why Bob & I were blessed with such a wonderful caring son, as Bobby. I know it does kind of sound weird? Why question something that God has given us. Doesn't God know exactly what he is doing? Absolutely!! Thank you God! I pray that God will continue to work in our family as He has so graciously and faithfully done for many years! And that we can always be in tuned to His Voice.
Check out the LA Dream Center here!

Tulip Fields, with no color...
First time in years we ventured out towards The Tulip Fields in Mount Vernon, and we saw a just a few that were bloomed. Well one thing good out of it, on the way there I realized I had forgotten my camera. Caroline without a camera is like a cat without food.... sad and scary. LOL So I used Bob's Blackberry to take a picture that I sure thought was funny! LOL Painted Tulips!

God's work in our weather....
It has been awhile since I have done a family update. Things are going well, but as always, we are really busy.
The weather has sure been unpredictable lately. Often I hear other people complain about the weather around here, but I think when you are raised around here you really get used to the diversity of our weather. I love the changes of each season. I love not knowing what one day from another will bring. Maybe some sun, like today.... Maybe some snow, like on Monday.... who knows? :0) Either way, I much rather be cold and be able to wrap up in blankets, coats or sit in front of a fire, rather then be overheated and grumpy.... It is often hard to cool yourself down when the weather hits real high temperatures. Once March hits, I am ready for the new life in the yard. The little buds on all the fruit trees and rose bushes. It always reminds me of new life. It is precious and such a gift from God. This weekend I spent a couple some time outdoors walking our property. I love walking around and seeing what God is up to. To be Continued....

Kyleann Inducted to Junior Honor Society!
Kyleann was inducted to Junior Honor Society last night!! We are so proud of her. She had to maintain a 3.4 or higher and volunteer for community service. She had straight A's for her first Semester this year and volunteered at her church, New Life! Great job Kyleann! We love you and are very proud of you! :0)

I want to Scrapbook! :0) I don't like the mess!
I love to scrapbook! This past weekend I pulled out my scrapbooking stuff to start working on my cousin's wedding album. (Which I promised I would have completed and shipped to England this month.) I love to do it, I just can't stand the mess it makes on my kitchen table for days while I am working on a project. Probably one of the reasons why I pull the stuff out once a year. So.... needless to say, I am way behind on our family albums. I love going away with the girlfriends once a year for a weekend, where the focus is just to scrapbook. I usually can get any where from 20 to 40 pages done. Yes, it really depends on how much I talk, and if we go somewhere where there is a tourist attraction that we just "have to" check out the scenery. Distractions.... I tell you... You leave home to avoid them.... LOL Okay, now I am rambling... maybe because I should be working on this album sitting in front of me, but my brain just went on vacation for the evening. What is one more night on the kitchen table? "Hey kids, dinner is on the floor tomorrow! LOL :0)

Family update
Well school was to start again.... well it is starting but 2 hours late. It is a little frustratimg because the roads are not near as bad as past times when the kids went to school on time. Oh well.... such is life. :0)
Bob put a new floor in the entryway this weekend. It is Pergo in an Oak. It really is nice. He is just needing to finish the trim around it and it will be done. It will make cleaning up in front of the woodstove so much easier. I will post pictures soon! Keep checking back.
